Whether you’re a seasoned Gym Leader or a new Trainer just starting your journey, Prerelease events are the perfect, low-pressure way to get your hands on new cards before they officially hit the shelves. Date: May 13, 2026
Time: 6:15 pm (Registration begins 30 minutes prior)
Location: The PlaySpace @ Just Press Play Mega Store!
Entry Fee: $30
How Pokemon Prerelease Works:
Each player receives a Build & Battle Box containing:
- A 40-card ready-to-play deck (featuring 1 of 4 unique foil promo cards).
- 4 Booster Packs from the new expansion to customize your deck.
You’ll have 30 minutes to open your packs and enhance your strategy. If you pull a massive Pokémon-ex, it’s time to "I choose you!" that Pokémon right into your lineup! We will provide any Basic Energy cards you might need to finish your build.
Tournament Structure Format: 3 Swiss Rounds (Everyone gets to play every round!)
Round Length: 30 minutes, Best-of-1.
Prizes & Participation:
Your performance determines your spoils! At the conclusion of the event, you will receive packs based on your final record. Every Trainer gets to take home at least 2 packs just for playing!
3 Wins: 6 Packs
2 Wins: 4 Packs
1 Win or No Win: 2 Packs
Note: Players will be required to finish at least one game to earn these additional packs. Due to high demand for this event, players who preregister and do not attend and/or late players who do not communicate with JPP Staff will be refunded and their Build & Battle Box is subject to be sold to a walk-in player.Â
What to Bring:
Sleeves: Highly recommended to protect your new "fire" pulls, and to sleeve up your deck!
Damage Counters/Dice: To keep track of your Pokémon’s HP.
