If you’re searching for a sanctuary to cast spells, flip cards, and enjoy the true "Gathering" of Magic, you’ve found your home. This weekly event is designed for the casual Commander enthusiast who values the social engine of a 3-4 player pod just as much as a well-timed board wipe.
The Mana Curve (Event Details & Entry)
Your $10 entry fee is a direct investment into your next masterwork, ensuring every planeswalker walks away with loot regardless of the final board state. To keep the gears of the Multiverse turning smoothly, please note the following:
- Check-in & Timeline: Doors open for check-in at 5:00 PM. Please be present by 5:25 PM so we can finalize our pods for a prompt 5:30 PM start.
- Participation Loot: Every player receives $10 in Store Credit immediately upon check-in—your entry fee goes right back into your pocket!
Choose Your Commander Experience & Pod Prizing
We know that Commander means something different to every player, so we are introducing two distinct paths for our weekly pods. Choose the vibe that fits your deck, your playstyle, and what you want out of your game night!
Path 1 "The Casual Core": Pods Play for the gathering. If you prefer janky combos, upgrading precons, and good table politics, pull up a chair to a Casual Core pod! Here, the focus is on the fun of the game rather than finishing first. Instead of a winner-takes-all prize, each week your pod will vote to award a unique, rotating title to one player! These titles celebrate the true spirit of casual Commander—you might be voting for the "Player with the coolest art in their deck," the "Player with the hardest cards for us to understand," or the "Player who made us laugh the most!" Whichever player gets that weeks title will be given an additional $10 in Store Credit!
Path 2 "High-Octane Magic": Pods Play to win. If you are piloting a highly tuned deck, a foiled masterpiece, or simply looking for a competitive challenge, this is your pod. The victor of each High-Octane pod claims an additional $10 in Store Credit to bolster their next brew!
The Wizard’s Toolkit (Requirements)
To keep the pairings smooth and the games moving, this event utilizes the Magic Companion App. For the best and easiest experience, ensure you have a Wizards Play Account set up ahead of time and have the Companion App ready on your phone!
